Jade was born into a community of contractors and tradesmen. She had the honor of growing up under the mentorship of her grandfather (Papa) a contractor and entrepreneur who taught her the value of practical thinking mixed with a compassionate heart. This left Jade with a lasting imprint and a dream to follow in his footsteps as a business owner. After college, Jade spent her early career as an entrepreneur, running a successful accounting business and later working as a Controller for a large Oil Manufacturer. Then, she and her husband opened a Plumbing & Heating Company in Truckee, Ca. Jade developed a keen sense of attention to detail and mastered the skills of problem-solving as she sorted out the everyday dilemmas of small business.
Jade has always been inspired by her Aunt Marybeth, who made a bold decision to go back to school in her 40’s and follow her dream of being an Interior Designer. Marybeth graduated with Honors from the University of Nevada Reno in 1993 and opened an Interior Design Business in Northern California. Being an entrepreneur at heart, Jade also went back to school in her 40’s to study Interior Design at the New York Institute of Art and Design. It was during this time that she discovered a passion for design and wanted to utilize her creative energy in a more fulfilling way. Marybeth continues to be a mentor and consultant to Jade and her company.
Jade developed her skills over the years as she created amazing spaces at home, for family and friends and in the businesses she operated. Jade has quickly built her business to what it is today - an incredibly unique combination of black-and-white practicality mixed with colorful creativity and compassion. Jade brings her history of project management and leadership then combines it with creativity and her natural ability to capture a story to help clients create the home of their dreams.
While Jade isn’t directing crews and designing dream homes, she loves making memories with her husband Chad and their six children. Jade counts on God, her family and her friends as her richest blessings. As a way to honor the generosity and compassion she learned from her Papa, Jade contributes 10% of her earnings to local nonprofits. As Jade helps create homes for her clients, she donates to help create homes for those who need them most.
